Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)
Parental involvement and active participation plays a major role in LCMS success. LCMS works to generate involvement, |
increase awareness, and constantly contributes support towards the improvement of the learning environment for students. PTSA raises thousands of dollars and contributes these funds for programs, Media Center, student recognition, teacher appreciation, multicultural education, celebration of school spirit, as well as many other important events. PTSA welcomes the active involvement of school staff, students and parents. You may become a member or make a contribution.

| School Advisory Council is to develop and implement the school improvement plan. SAC sets goals based on the student achievement and expectations. Through monthly SAC meetings, the SAC members monitor the implementation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and discuss other important topics relevant to school budget, achievement, student and school needs, etc.
What is the School Improvement Plan (SIP)?
The School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a primary objective for all
Broward schools. To facilitate this process, every school has a school
Advisory Council which studies the school's track record and comes up
with an annual plan to improve education in vital areas such as: student
achievement, curriculum, safety and discipline.
Who are the SAC members?
The SAC members are elected members and are from different stakeholder groups. The purpose is to practice a participatory management system with the input of all stakeholders. This year the SAC co-chairs are, Mrs. Patti Lewin-Genhold, Mrs. Dory Vega, & Mrs. Miles.

School Advisory Forum (SAF):
The LCMS School Advisory Forum is a group of stakeholders that serve as a link between the school stakeholders and the Area Advisory Council. In the school SAF meeting, important discussions take place regarding recommendations, concerns, and interests. The School Advisory Forum also host presentations of interest to parents, such as; School Safety, Community Resources, etc. Stakeholders are welcomed to join: business partners, community members, school personnel, parents, and students participate actively. This year, LCMS's Chair is Veronica Giugni. Mrs. Giugni works to maintain active involvement and communication between our community and Lyons Creek Middle School. |
